Eco-Chic with Skeeda (Giveaway CLOSED)
I’m sure that by now you’ve heard all about the value and importance of bringing your own reusable bags for groceries and other purchases to the store with you. Apart from all of the environmental benefits to bringing your own bags, there is always that one other little thing that never seems to elude me – fashion. Yes, bringing your own bags to the store is a fun way of self-expression, and is also a way to showcase your inner fashionista. I personally have an interesting collection of reusable bags – no two are alike, and they are all very “me”. Pretty patterns, humorous sayings in French (Les Fruits sont nos amis! Bah, oui, mais on ne mange pas nos amis…), and fun colors make up my collection (and make me smile after standing in long lines with a very impatient toddler).
I recently happened upon these great reusable bags from skeeda, and I am hooked! These bags are stylish, roomy, and sturdy — I fit two half-gallons of organic milk, a box of cereal, and a few other things all in my skeeda bag on a quick trip into the store yesterday. I told the lady at the checkout that I had my own bag, and pulled out my bag in Eggshell print (I love blues and browns together!), and she immediately oohed and ahhed over what a “pretty” bag it was! Take that, paper and plastic!
Skeeda bags come in a variety of patterns and colors, and will normally run you $15 a pop, though if you use the code “chicshopper” you will save $5 off every order! Skeeda claims to be the bag for the hip, eco-chic shopper – and seeing as how i’m a “Chic Shopper” I’m inclined to agree!

I love the “Eggshell” pattern. It was one of my goals for 2009 to use only reusable bags vs. plastic or paper. It has cut down on the amnt of junk I have bought from the grocery store ~ and it’s helping the environment which of course was the main goal.

It’s a tie between Berry and Watermelon. I am so sorry so many women’s sites are being targeted by the new safety law regarding products designed for children 13 and younger. How many small businesses can afford to pay for the testing to get the certification that their products are safe for children 13 and younger. I am afraid it will put many stay at home mom’s who also have businesses online out of business. This is a great product line, and hopefully the government never targets the totes too. I pray that the women who need to can reinvent themselves and their product lines and are not stuck with alot of inventory that doesn’t meet government guidelines. If they gave away in giveaways and contests the old product line instead of selling it (children items for 13yr. olds and younger) while promoting their new product lines, would they get around the law? I mean they are not selling it. If they listed in the giveaway that it may or may not meet new government guidelines, and they weren’t selling it for profit could they bypass the laws? I am just curious. I’ll pray for all of you who have sites that the new law doesn’t undo your dreams. Thanks.

I LOOOVVVEE the Eggshell bag. I looked at all of the designs and I could picture walking and shopping with the eggshell print bag. It’s suttle blue color and the brown vines remind me of a organic shopping experience and them colors match well with alot of clothing choices.
