She recently had to move away to find an accommodating school for her autistic son and it has been extremely hard on her. Her husband is in the military and is due to be shipped overseas by June. I plan on surprising my sweet husband of 26+ years with a night out. The kids will stay at my mom’s, and I’m taking him out for his favorite seafood…..crab legs. I would order the white Valentine’s roses for my husband have them delivered to his office. Due to downsizing at his company, he’s been required to put in literally hundreds of extra hours since December. I know he is overwhelmed, beyond stressed and would love to move on, but the state of the economy and unemployment makes him realize he’s stuck at this job for the next bunch of months.
I want him and his boss to know how much his hard work means to our family, and that even though the boss rarely appreciates anything he does, I want him to know just how much I do. I think a giant bouquet of roses would maybe make his boss see, even just for a minute, that there is more to life than 18 hour days, 6 days a week.

She misses him alot and talks about him nearly daily you see they were the prince and princess of fairy tale making. My fiance, Hannah, is the most amazing woman in the entire world. She melts my heart when she walks in the room and more incredible than that, she loves me unconditionally despite all my short comings. Because we are about to get married, she didn’t want me to spend any money on so we could save and start off on solid financial ground. OK, this may sound strange but I would choose the lavender roses and have them sent to me. My hubby never sends flowers (he just never thinks of it; not the type of thing he would do) but fresh flowers are so nice! I especially love the lavender roses because they were what I used as the main flower in my wedding bouquet.

This is a very sentimental giveaway for me. I love flowers and so does my twin sister. My precious Mom who passed away (Feb 25th 20007) almost 2 years ago, LOVED roses! Of course we would NEVER buy them for ourselves, because we are always on a TIGHT budget and trying to make ends meet. My Twin and I cared for my mom for 7 years before she went to Heaven, so the flowers I would choose would be the Duet Rose Bouquet for my Twin Helen, because WE are a Duet, we are a Team, and I could not live without her. I moved to GA from NY and 6 months later she moved here too (from NY) She told her Hubby that you cannot separate twins or they will die.(Lucky for us, he believed it! haha) That was 11 years ago. We live 2 miles from each other, our children are best friends, and I adore my Twin.

The Passionate Coral Roses are beautiful, but so are the Lavender Roses, so to me it’s a tie between the beautiful pinkish reds and the light hued purples. If I absolutely had to pick between the two, the Lavender Roses would probably win out.

The Ruby Red Classic is gorgeous. I’d want them myself but I’d send them to my Mom. She’s my best friend and I moved away seven months ago and I miss her dearly. We talk everyday but it’s hard not to just show up at her door for a chat.

I have never had roses for my anniversary. But it is my own fault. The Valentine’s Day before we got married, my hubby ordered a dozen long stem red roses. I thanked him but told him it was too much. His plan was to replace one red rose with a white rose on the 14th of every month until he presented me with a dozen white roses on our wedding day.

Happy Valentines Day! I would selfishly send these to me! My DH of 29 years always got me yellow roses, which I love. He was a long haul trucker and the year we were celebrating our 14th he showed up with 14 dozen yellow roses! As I cringed at the cost he quickly assured me that he met ” a guy in a truck in Bayonne NJ…selling them for $5 a dozen”! LOL I didn’t ask any more questions! But he had a stroke and now lives in assisted care. He no longer remembers holidays. These roses would be a wonderful boost for me. Thanks for the memory!

I took ill a while back, and have had to go through some pesky chemo. No worries though. I’m through it, and am preparing for the next step. God is so good to me! I have an amazing support system made up of family and friends, that truly humbles me. My wonderful beau actually has taken a sabatical from work in order to assure all my needs are met! I have been so mean to him on occasions that I was having a hard day. Some days I even felt robbed of my dignity, and just wanted a big ole’ pity party! Through all this, he has endured, and shown me nothing but compassion. For him, I would choose the multi colored. They would represent all of who he is. The yellow, for friendship, because first and foremost, he is my best friend. The white would represent the purity of his heart in his intentions to take care of me! I will leave the love part to your imagination. Suffice it to say, he is a remarkable guy, and a gift from my awesome Father-God! Too, I could enjoy them! I have the perfect spot! Thanks!

I think I’d get red and yellow roses for my kids and myself to enjoy.
I would pick the traditional ruby red roses. I would have them sent to my son’s girlfriend. He has just started a new job after being out of work for awhile and can’t afford to send her anything for Valentine’s Day. This would make him – and her – feel great!
Lovely Lavender Roses
I would send them to my mother who’s in California. My grandmother who now lives with her isn’t doing well and since I’m in Florida I can’t really help out. I think something like this would give her a pick me up and let her know I was thinking of her.

A few years ago I arranged a Valentine’s Day weekend at a local Bed and Breakfast. Our room included a heart shaped tub even! Being the fugal gal I am, I asked for a good deal on the room, and the owner agreed since I called like 2 days before and they had an opening which he didn’t think would fill. Sadly, my husband got really sick that weekend, and my plans to attend the theater and a nice restaurant, before going to the B&B, were dashed. So, instead I ordered us KFC and we watched The Notebook in our room while we soaked in the tub together.

I like pink roses. My granddaughter, Autumn Rose, likes lavender roses. So much so, that she plans to name her next baby (we fancy a girl as she already has a boy, Aiden, 5) Lavender Rose. I would send the flowers to my daughter, Sara. She not only is taking a full load at the University of Texas at Austin, but she also nannies a very active little boy when she’s not in school. I would send the dozen roses to my mother-in-law because I would want her to know exactly how much I appreciate all the help she does for us. i would get the 2 dozen colored roses. i’d get them for myself. i know kindof sappy. we don’t have any money to do anything or get each other gifts. so i could say they are from him. when i get them jump in his arms and act suprised. put the kids to bed catch a movie on the couch, while snuggling up. then sweep me off my feet for nightime fun!
