Forever 21 … at 26

One of my favorite stores to shop at is Forever 21 (or XXI) because of their uber-reasonable prices and cute, trendy clothing. In all honesty, I have to be very careful with the way I take care of my clothing from this store, and I have brought home items on more than one occasion that had a hole in them or that didn’t last – so we’re not talking the highest-end clothing here. However, for a fashionista on a budget, like me, it’s a great place to shop, because when my white cami bites the dust, I can easily afford to buy a new one at $2.50 a pop! Anyway, I spent a good 2 hours in the store today, sifting through the racks as usual to find gold. Yes, it’s a total treasure hunt, but worth it in the end. Check out some my purchases!
A total Francophile and former French teacher, I couldn’t pass up this adorable but simple Paris tee.
I’m always on the lookout for new cocktail dresses or summer dresses, and when I put this Satin Swept Pleat dress on, well, I just couldn’t bear to pass it up. It looked so sophisticated and dressy on, plus, at $19.50, it was a downright steal! And yes, I bought it in pink.
I couldn’t resist grabbing one of these classic white button-up shirts with a skinny belt to cinch the waist. A modern spin on a classic look, perfect to pair with my black skirt and heels for a meeting.
I also grabbed one of these gathered knit tunics – it will go great with a pair of jeans but I can also slip it on with a pair of dress pants for a meeting!

You made some excellent choices – especially the pink dress! It looks fabulous and with a price like that, it only has to look good for one or two wearings and you’ll get your money’s worth.

That is a great price for that dress. They have some pretty stuff. I have never heard of them but are on my way over to check them out.
My sis is considerably over 21 and loves that store too! You can’t beat the bargains!
I have never been in their store but I think we have one at the mall. I will be checking it out and love that dress!

I haven’t been to the store since I was a teenager but I should check it out again, the tunic is really cute! And with one year old twins almost no clothes last through the summer
The Paris shirt is awesome! The line work is interesting, and the red heart really pops out.
I have never stepped in that store because I didn’t think the clothing was well made but maybe I will check it out!
I’m also a fan of Forever 21 but I agree about the quality.
I wish we had a Forever 21 closer. I especially like that first dress and the last tunic.
I have to be honest and tell you I’ve never shopped in a Forever 21. The closest one is about an hour or so away in the Mall of America. Too big and too many people for me. I’d love to get all those great deals!
this store is sooo easy to get addicted to! and it’s great because you can get trendy pieces (that will only be in style this season) without it costing an arm and a leg!

I love Forever 21!! They have some interesting stuff, but a lot of great stuff, too! I lvoe their accessories, which are usually super cheap:)

When I first heard of Forever 21 I told myself I would never shop there because I thought it was mostly for teenagers. Boy was I wrong. Love Love Love their clothes and prices. My sister-in-law dragged me to the store and I am now an official convert.
I love Forever 21 as well. My cousin is the one that got me into it, and now I’m hooked! =)
I didn’t know you were a former French teacher! My native language is French. I’ve been living in the States for 15 years now.
We don’t have a Forever 21 here unfortunately, but I was talking with my 17yr old who works at a store named Sirens and she says that the clothing is pretty much the same!
I am in my early 30′s and I love forever 21. Their prices are so reasonable, I always walk out with a lot of stuff. Thanks for sharing your finds!

i love the gathered knit tunic. ive been so happy that the trend for shirts has been for them to get longer as ive been getting wider. haha. when i was stick thin i didnt mind belly shirts (of course i was a teenager, too, so it was a bit more fitting) now i want that thing almost to my knees!
and under $20 for that dress? youve got to be kidding me! someday ill have to check out that store! thanks for the heads up.
