Wedding Paper Divas Wows With Customer Service

11 Comments 19 July 2012

I’ve been very thankful in our wedding planning process to have some brands who have wanted to be a part of our big day. The number one company from the start was Wedding Paper Divas – who has provided us with our incredible Save The Date Cards, Bridal Shower Invitations, and our Wedding Invitations. I’ve been working with different branches of this same company since my earliest days as a blogger – so I have a particular fondness for them. Not to mention, I’m a huge champion of the brand – the only invites and stationery that ever leave this house come only from Tiny Prints or Wedding Paper Divas. Honestly, there is just no company out there who can compete in terms of quality.

The reason I’m telling you all of this is because I had such an amazing experience with a customer service rep there while ordering our wedding invitations that I felt it was worth sharing. Here is the thing: the woman who helped me had no clue that I wrote a blog, had no clue that I had a special relationship with the company, etc. Basically, she had no reason to give me special treatment but she did. Which is exactly my point. It is so obvious that every single customer is treated with the utmost importance at Wedding Paper Divas – my experience is not the exception, but the rule.

Here’s how it went down: I was trying to choose inner envelopes for our invitations. You know, the ones that you can pick different color lining on? Our color scheme is French Rivera – and our invites are beach-themed – white with navy letterpress with seashells and starfish printed on them as accents. So I get down to my options and I’m looking for something that matches – and I see indigo tissue liner or indigo matte liner.

Wedding Paper Divas Wedding Invitation Review

I am scrolling through looking for a navy, but all I see is indigo. I’m pretty sure it’s the same thing, but I think to myself – should I double check that indigo is like navy? Because the worst thing in the world would be to order a liner that didn’t match the invite.

Ok, maybe not the worst thing in the world, but it would at least be in the top 10 worst things, y’know?

And then I wonder – what in the world is the difference between a matte liner and a tissue liner? It was there, in the menu, so matter-of-factly that I almost felt guilty that I had no idea which one fit the tone of our invite better and which one I should choose.

So I opened the live chat window and up popped Mary-Frances. Well, not her, but a chat room with her in it.

I shared with her my dilemma.

She asked me to hold on while she went to see if she could find a sample laying around.

She comes back with a white and navy invitation (like ours) and samples of both envelopes and tells me that a) the indigo is like navy and matches the invite perfectly and b) explains the difference in the way the matte and tissue look. I picture her sitting in an office chair at the Wedding Paper Divas headquarters totally immersed in helping some stranger choose the perfect inner liner for her wedding invitations and my heart is just totally warmed.

And then she suggests choosing the tissue-lined envelope because it is soft and almost looks “like waves, so it will match your invitation perfectly”.

At that point I had practically put Mary-Frances in the running to be my new best friend. I felt like she went above and beyond and she took all of the headache out of making a stressful decision. I ordered the invites and haven’t looked back.

Today I received this in the mail.

Wedding Paper Divas Thank You Note

Mary-Frances wrote me a hand-written thank you note because I allowed her to spend 20 minutes of her time helping me to choose between a matte liner and a tissue liner?

That, my friends, is how you go above and beyond for your customers and keep them coming back. It is also why brides don’t need to bother looking beyond Wedding Paper Divas for their wedding invitations. Not only are their products the top in the industry, but their customer service is incredible.

Thank you Wedding Paper Divas for going above and beyond to make me feel special!

Disclosure: I do have a working relationship with Wedding Paper Divas. However they did not request this post, I am under no obligation to write this post, and I have been in no way, shape, or form compensated for this post. I was just impressed and amazed at the level of attention to detail and wanted to share it with you.

Thank you for taking a moment to recognize my friend. It meant a lot to her, and I am so proud of her and the company she works for. I am also happy that you took the time to mention your experience. So many people take the time to complain, but not many take the time to say good job or thank you. Have a great day!

Thank you Marisa for your sweet comment. I agree with you – people often go out of their way to complain, but forget to sing the praises of their good experiences. I’m guilty of that too sometimes, but I try to make a point to say thank you when I can.

I am so grateful to Mary-Frances and the entire company for making this part of my wedding virtually stress-free!
