OP Swimwear for Girls at Walmart

6 Comments 18 May 2014

Last week we had a record-setting heat wave here in California and at one point, I checked the weather app on my phone only to see this:

Of course I immediately had to tell the world via my Instagram account, because well, I’m a bit of a navel-gazer.  But I mean really?  That’s hot.

Naturally, when it is that hot outside one ventures off in search of the cool.  Or, more likely, the pool.

Which is just what we did.

Miss AG absolutely loves the water – she is a total water bug.  She can be super hard on her swimsuits, too – they end up getting pulled, stretched, and totally sun-faded.  All of these things are fine by me because it means she was having fun in them – but it also means I need to find a solution to keep a couple of swimsuits on hand while not breaking the bank.  For about 5 years now, Walmart has been my one-stop-shop for swimsuits for our kids – so I was thrilled when Walmart asked if we would be interested in trying out a few new suits.  No brainer!

We got together with a few of our favorite girlfriends for a pool party, and the girls all modeled their new swimwear!

The girls absolutely loved their new swimsuits – and I was a big fan of how stylish but modest each suit was.  Even the 2-piece tankinis provided plenty of coverage – we especially loved the tankini with the boy-shorts.  Perfect for hours of swimming, running, and playing!

When I handed my friend ‘S’ a swimsuit for her daughter, she looked at it, then jerked her head up and said “Wait, Walmart carries OP swimwear?  You have to say that in your post! That is such a big deal!”

Y’all.  Walmart carries Op swimwear.  A ton of it.  You’re welcome.

Even better – each swimsuit was $10 or under.  The adorable board shorts that AG is wearing in the first photo cost a grand total of $3.97 and they are now her new favorite item of clothing – I had to wash them twice in one weekend to keep up with her request!

Doesn’t this make you want to have a pool party?  I know I’m really looking forward to more fun in the sun – while I was looking for these suits at Walmart I snatched up 2 new suits for myself too, plus a really great coverup, for an absolute steal.

Special thanks goes out to my dear friends – Mrs. S and Mrs. M – for trusting me enough to let their little ones help out with this post!

Happy Summer!
