Baby Needs Kidneybeenz! {Giveaway CLOSED}
Well hello once again Chic Shopper Chick Readers! It’s Sarah from over at Bio Girl back with a review for a great new baby item. I had our sweet Henry four weeks ago and I am finally getting my feet under me enough to have time to do important things like going shopping and writing product reviews for CSC! So, I am here today to tell you about my new love; the Kidneybeenz burp cloths. They have quickly become one of my very favorite and most used baby items!
The Kidneybeenz are the genius creation of Jillian over at Kustom Baby Stuff. They are 100% cotton burp cloths which are perfectly shaped to sit right up against your neck and still cover the most area under the baby as possible. They are covered on one side with a fabric of your choice, and her selection is
HUGE! The other side is a plush white chenille, which makes the clothes both soft on your baby’s skin and super absorbent. They are the only burp clothes I use. Seriously. I actually started out with three, and then got three more so I have plenty for the rotation of feedings. I have washed mine a ton (man babies go through a lot of laundry!) and they are holding up great.
They are really reasonably priced and always adorable. Jillian will do gift sets and wrap them up as a set of three, which make them perfect for shower gifts or a gift set for a new mom. If you have a theme in mind and she doesn’t have a fabric to match, she will find something to work for you! She put together two kidneybeenz for me that have owls on them. SUPER CUTE! She made us a UK wildcat one because they are our home team. She can do anything! I am telling you, they are great.
While you are at her site, check out some of the other great items Jillian has made. If you have a personalized item in mind, she is the girl to talk to. She is amazingly easy to work with and always comes out with great products! We have a pillow she made Henry which is incredible (you can see it on her site!). Just let her know what you are looking for and I am sure she can make it happen!
Jillian is offering a 10% to all Chic Shopper Chick Readers. Just let her know you heard about her over here at CSC and you will be set to go!

Mother’s Day Pampering! {Giveaway CLOSED}
Hello CSC readers! Sarah from Bio Girl here again with another great pregnancy/baby product review. I gotta tell you all, I am a big fan of anything to do with pampering.

Belli Skincare Motherhood Essentials Kit
I absolutely love body washes and lotions (to the point that it may or may not actually be an addiction…). Anything that will help my skin to look and feel better is a weakness of mine. Because of this weakness, I was obviously THRILLED when Erika asked me to review the Belli Skincare Pregnancy Line. What can be better than reviewing products made to make a pregnancy gal feel pretty??
Belli’s pregnancy line has everything a pregnant woman would want to pamper herself and take care of her skin. All of the products have undergone amazing amounts of toxicology testing to be 100% positive that they are safe for both you and your sweet baby on the way. They do not put a product on the market that is not dermatology approved, but more than that, they go above and beyond the dermatology standard to put only the safest products for you and your baby on the market. The pregnancy line includes products such as body wash, body lotion and foot relief cream (oh the love…this stuff is wonderful!!), but they also have things such as elasticity belly oil and acne clearing facial wash. Any pregnant girl will tell you that stretch marks and
acne are two hot button topics during pregnancy. Having items that are safe to use and designed specifically for a pregnant woman’s body chemistry is a dream come true!
In addition to the pregnancy line, Belli also offers a wonderful line of Motherhood and baby products. All motherhood items are safe for breast feeding mothers. They are truly made to make you look and feel your very best! The baby line, like the pregnancy and motherhood lines, is thoroughly tested before being released to the public. Belli has made it their mission to provide products that not only make you look and feel amazing, but to set the industry standard on safety and toxicology. You can feel safe using these products on yourself and your children, which is really the most important thing.
The Belli products will make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift for all the mom’s or soon to be mom’s in your life! The baby line will make a much loved shower gift. Belli offers gift packages in each line to make gift buying fast and easy. Pick some up for someone you love, or just pick some up for yourself! You are going to love it!
Win It!!! We have one Motherhood Essentials Kit to give away to a very lucky CSC Reader! The Motherhood Essentials Kit includes the Pure Comfort Nursing Cream, Eye Brightening Cream, Body Firming Serum, and Moisturinzing Hand Sanitizer. To enter, visit Belli Skincare and then come back here and let me know what product is your favorite! After your initial comment, every other (pertinent) comment left on this site on other posts from now through May 1st will count as an extra entry each. Have Your Cake, But Don’t Eat It!
Hello all! Sarah here again with another great baby product! Have you all seen how adorable Diaper Cakes are? I had heard of them, but when an amazing creation by Diaper Cakewalk showed up on my doorstep I was completely blown away. These things are precious! Diaper Cakes make an amazing addition to any baby shower as a decoration, but more that that they are a wonderful gift for a soon-to-be mom. The Diaper Cakewalk Cakes are of course full of diapers (sizes 1-2), which is a much needed gift for any mom, but they are also covered in useful baby items! My cake has wash cloths, a pacifier, a rattle, a precious stuff bunny that plays music, lotion, baby powder, shampoo, an adorable pacifier clip ( to keep the pacifier attached to the baby rather than on the dirty floor…someone is very clever out there), and more! It’s like it’s very own mom’s survival kit all wrapped in a perfect package!
Diaper Cakewalk goes the extra mile to make them an easy choice when ordering a diaper cake. First off, they have Sampler Diaper Cakes. This is simply a cake made from the top three brands of diapers. This allows first time moms to try out the different brands and find what they like best for their sweet baby! They also have Eco-Friendly Diaper cakes, which lots of environmentally aware soon to be moms will love. They even have Do-It-Yourself diaper cakes, which basically come as the ready made cake without the decorations and goodies so you can design your own theme! If you are on a budget or just want something small, they do have mini-diaper cakes which are just as cute as their big brothers. Did I mention they make diaper castles? They do. And they are amazing.
Diaper Cakewalk seems to have covered all angles of making the perfect diaper cake for your soon-to-be mom. Take a look at all the themed cakes over at their site as soon as you have time. I am sure you will fall in love with them just like I did!
Born Free Rawks Baby’s World
Hi CSC readers! Sarah here again with a new baby product review! A couple of months ago Nick and I went to do our pre-registering-scouting-trip-so-that-we-won’t-be-overwhelmed-with-registering thing (what? It’s a thing, right? All soon-to-be first time parents take the scouting trip…I am sure of it!) The Born Free product line caught my eye as soon as we entered the bottles and pacifier section. I am not going to lie, it caught my eye originally because the word FREE cracks me up when it comes to this baby. After all of our infertility struggles I gotta say that this baby will most definitely be Born Loved, and Born Desperately Wanted, but really not Born FREE. So in my head I planned to register for some of the products just as my own personal joke with myself. I am easily amused.
Anyway, imagine my surprise when I get to actually review some of the Born Free products! This was stuff I was going to buy anyway, does life get any better? I have now learned that there are TONS of great reasons to buy Born Free products, most of them well beyond the fact that the name amuses me. The actual key to the line is that it is BPA and PVC free. If you have been reading Erika for long, you know she is a huge advocate for all things natural and especially BPA free. Her focus on the issue made me very aware of the plastic containers I owned, and I knew I wanted all BPA-free products for the baby. This means that Born Free was perfect!
The company has a full line of bottles (both BPA-free and glass) along with BPA free nipples, training cups and
drinking cups. The newest addition to their line of products are their pacifiers and teethers which are the two official products I am reviewing. Both products seem wonderful. The pacifiers are for day and night use and have a cute little flexible handle so to not inhibit sleep. They are orthodontic and collapsible to encourage the natural development of baby’s teeth and gums and a breathable shield to reduce skin irritation. The teether is designed by a pediatric dentist so that it stimulates and soothes baby’s’ gums and allows for easier teeth eruption. It can be stored in the refrigerator and features a built-in cavity for anesthetic paste, an easy-grip handle and five different textures to keep the baby entertained.
What it comes down to for me is that these are basic must-haves for all babies. If you are going to buy pacifiers and teethers, why not get the best? Get the ones that will have no chemicals for you to worry about later, and that are designed by dentists in the pedeatirc field. Seems like the obvious choice to me. So if you are in the market for some wonderful baby bottles, pacifiers and teethers, then check out Born Free. You can find it pretty much everywhere!
Gotcha Covered!
Hi Chic Shopper Chick readers! Sarah here again to do another baby product review. I am planning on breast feeding this sweet little baby once he or she joins our family, so I was THRILLED to receive the Clip n’ Feed. I had put some (most likely not enough) thought into how exactly to go about breast feeding in public. I am not one to go into a separate room and, God forbid, miss some important conversation! I like to be where the people are, so I knew I needed something to assist with feeding the baby while remaining with the general public. In my head I would toss a blanket over the baby, but hadn’t thought of it much beyond that point.
Next thing I know the Clip N’ Feed arrives. I rip into the package to check out the latest product and I realize someone out there knows their stuff! This thing has a neck strap (how am I always reviewing products with a neck strap?) or it simply has two clasps that clip onto your shirt. This allows the cover to stay in place. This means there will be no fear of me shifting in my seat or, you know, getting over excited when talking, and accidentally dropping the blanket and flashing the room. I am typically not a self conscious person, but the idea of flashing bare boob and stomach (why does the stomach bother me more than the boob?) is not my idea of fun, so I was totally sold on the Clip and Feed.
The more I looked at the product, the better it got. First off, the actual cloth is extremely light weight. Erika told me that when she was nursing Little AG, she got really hot under a blanket, and since I am due in June I see the light fabric being a real plus. In addition, the fabric is beautiful! They have several varieties online, so you can pick a style that suits you best. The cover is extremely long, even on my tall figure. It will truly work for everyone. There is even a cute little pocket! I am a sucker for a pocket. The designers were also smart enough to add a couple extra Velcro loops to the cover so that is works as a stroller and car seat cover as well. The Clip N’ Feed is wonderful all around. I highly recommend it for all mom’s planning to breast feed!
Bye Bye Burpie
Hello Chic Shopper Chick readers! I am Sarah from over at Bio Girl and am so excited to have the opportunity to review infant and baby products for you guys. When Erika asked me if I would be interested in helping with some reviews, I nearly screamed with delight. What first time mom doesn’t want to pour over every detail that is new up and coming baby products? Well, maybe not all new moms, but this one (who has a thing for all things shopping and all things baby) has found a little slice of heaven! Erika is the best and she only recommends the top products for you all, so I am thrilled to be a part of the team! And now for my first review…
I received the Burpie Blocker to review and I was ridiculously excited. I tore open the package and immediately put this genius invention on (then I may or may not have made both of my sisters wear it too…just for research and what not). It is simple enough, just a burp cloth with a cloth covered elastic strap that hooks with Velcro around the mom’s neck to keep the cloth in place. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best. If you have known a spit-up baby, you know what a challenge it can be to keep the burp cloth in place to protect your clothes while carrying or burping the baby. This solves that problem! The neck strap is amazing comfortable and you honestly don’t even notice you have it on. What you do notice is that it stays where you want it. You can place it on, then pick up the baby and it doesn’t slide down your shoulder, giving a prime target spot for the spit up! It is something I see myself using all the time, and something I
am sure other mom’s will love!
Beyond being a great idea, these burp cloths are amazingly well made and adorable! The strip of pattered fabric that is down the center of the cloth is adorable with its detail and amazingly soft for your sweet baby’s face. The entire cloth is double backed so it will be extremely absorbent and is really well sewn. It is a high quality product that will last for a very long time! The people over at Burpie Blocker have also made adorable matching receiving blankets to go along with the different cloths which make them a perfect gift for any new mom or mom to be!
Burpie Blocker has also been nice enough to off a 10% discount to all Chic Shopper Chick readers! All you have to do is go to BurpieBlocker.com and place your order. At checkout enter the code BPMG10 .
