Yesterday I published a guide that included some of my favorite Holiday picks for mom – and it included the amazing, awesome, fabulously incredible (see how many of those I need to express my love?) Keurig Platinum Single Serve Brewing System.
The Single Serve Brewing System really makes my life so much easier because I can make one cup and not waste a whole pot of coffee, and I can also decide if I want coffee, tea, flavored coffee, etc. on a whim.
If you haven’t already read my gushing review you should definitely check it out in the 2009 Holiday Guide – but let’s get down to the nitty gritty of why you’re here — you’re dying to win one of these babies, and I don’t blame you ONE. BIT.
To enter, go check out the Keurig Platinum Single Serve Brewing System and come back here to let me know what your favorite feature is. For bonus entries you may follow me on Twitter, Tweet about this giveaway (use the little button at the top of the page), subscribe to this site by email (box at the top right hand side of the page), or you can come to my house and help me with my Christmas baking. Ok, not the last one. Just checking to see if you were paying attention.
Fine Print: Giveaway ends December 26th, 2009 at 11:59pm CST. Winner to be chosen at random. Please leave a vaild email address in the appropriate box so that we may contact you should you win.

Disclosure: These products have been submitted to me for review. I don’t love every product on the market, by FAR, but I write about the ones that I do love here on my site. The deal is that I will only recommend things to you that I like, believe in, and would buy myself or tell my friends and family to buy. My opinions are 100% my own. It’s how I roll. Make Your Sweetie’s Heart Go KaBloom this V-Day! (Giveaway CLOSED)
Perhaps it’s totally cliche’ but I will never ever turn down a bouquet of flowers, especially roses. Roses and I have a love/love relationship – especially pink or white roses! I know red roses represent love, but a bouquet of white or pink roses has the ability to make me immediately melt into an Erika puddle. So men, just a tip – even the most non-traditional woman will appreciate
flowers from you on Valentine’s Day. You can hand-deliver them yourself or have them delivered to her at home or at work so she knows you’re thinking about her – either way will make her swoon!
The folks at KaBloom are working hard to help make Valentine’s Day fantastic – so they are offering a special of 2 dozen roses delivered for $49.99. That’s a really, really great price and you have lots of options to choose from! KaBloom even offers same day delivery if you order by 2 pm (thought I’m not sure if that will hold true on Valentine’s Day itself, so all of you procrastinators should get your orders in early!).
KaBloom has offered to giveaway one of their Valentine’s Day specials of 2 dozen roses, delivered on Valentine’s Day to one lucky Chic Shopper Chick reader’s recipient of choice! This is a fast-moving contest that will end at 5 pm on Thursday, February 12th so that the winner has time to choose their flowers and have them delivered on Saturday! In other words, enter below and get 2 dozen roses sent for free to your significant other, friend, or family member! Rawk!
Win it! Visit KaBloom’s website and decide which Valentine’ Flowers you would order for someone if you were to win. Then come back here and leave a comment here telling which ones you’d choose and who they would be for. I just might throw in an extra entry for anyone who details any sweeping romantic gestures that they may be considering for Valentine’s Day – just because I’m a romantic sap and I want to know! As usual, extra entries are also available for stumbling Chic Shopper Chick (leave your stumble name), subscribing to my site, following me on Twitter, and blogging about this giveaway with a link back here. That’s it, so good luck!
US entries only, winner will be chosen via random.org at the end of the contest. Winner will only have until Thursday night at midnight to claim their prize. This contest ends at 5:00 pm CST on February 12th, 2009.
Playskool’s Cherry Blossom Market – A Giveaway!
Ok, I’ve already ranted and raved over my extreme love for it in my Christmas Gift Guide for kids, but it’s worth another mention here: one of my favorite picks for Christmas this year is, beyond a doubt, the Cherry Blossom Market. We have one of these at my house (I just couldn’t wait until Christmas to give it to Little AG – it looked like so much fun!) and it has been a fun activity for us daily since we broke open the box. Speaking of opening the box, it was very easy to put together, though I did take the time to read the instructions for once (rather out of character for me!) but it was in one piece in a flash (when I saw the small box I was slightly worried). The fabric that it is made out of seems easy enough to wipe clean, and at the most, needs a sponge with some warm, soapy water on it.
And really, what little girl doesn’t dream of owning her own little store! Now they can with the Cherry Blossom Market from Playskool — perfect for those of us who want to give our little ones a playhouse of their own, but with limited space. A smaller addition to the Dream Town collection (we also love the Rose Petal Cottage, but it’s twice the size, therefore it would take up twice the amount of room in my house!) this sweet and playful market will not disappoint! I love the beautiful fabric walls of the Playskool Cherry Blossom Market — one side is adorned with flowers and the other functions as the inside of the market itself. Little AG especially loves “serving” mommy outside of the walk-up window or helping me to pick out some fresh produce at the Cherry Blossom Market Produce Stand
. When we’re finished, we sit down and enjoy some special Scoop ‘N Smile Ice Cream
! Oh, and did I mention it comes with a cash register and even some play money? We love it!
I am confident that your little grocers will love this toy as much as we do, and they would love to find this from Santa Claus come Christmas morning! It’s on sale at Amazon right now (link above) for only $35.99 (and free shipping!) which I feel like is one of the best deals that you can possibly get this Holiday Season!
Even better, would you like to win a Cherry Blossom Market to give as a gift? Follow the easy-peasy rules below and you could be playing “shop” on Christmas morning!

Christmas Gift Guide 2008: Entertaining and Hostess Gifts

With the Holiday Season comes the P & E — Parties and Entertaining! From office parties to parties with family and friends, you will likely have more than one occasion to show that you are the “Hostess with the Mostess” or a gracious party guest! Of course, we wouldn’t leave you hanging for this very important part of the Holiday Season, so Chic Shopper Chick has got you covered with everything you’ll need to survive this season of Holiday Parties!
The Perfect Holiday Dress — Each year I go in search of the perfect dress to wear to Church on Christmas Eve, as well as to all of the various parties and events that we attend throughout the season. This year, I am so thrilled to say that I already have my dress, well before I moved into panic mode! This year I will be wearing a flattering and gorgeous little number from ShapeFX! When I pulled the dress out of the box I thought, wow, this isn’t going to look on me like it does on that size 2 model. Guess what? It looks fantastic (You know, I mean, if I do say so myself)! I would be proud to model it anywhere — sign me up to be the new SpokesMom for ShapeFX! Any dress that makes hubby do a double take MUST be a keeper! Check out the full line of products from ShapeFX, including their shapewear, pants, and special occasion line! I have no doubt that you will love this stuff as much as I do! To prove it to you, I plan to do a post soon with some pictures of me wearing this amazing dress!
Entertaining — When I entertain, I love to have people walk in the door and say “mmmmm” because it smells so good. Maybe it’s because of your fantastic cooking, or it could just be from a really well-scented candle. I love to burn candles in my house, and I really like to choose ones that smell like food, like cinnamon, or buttercream. Yankee Candles make some really great scents, and they even have a special line for the Holidays. I especially love this Christmas Cookie Candle by Yankee Candle. Nom Nom Nom!
Don’t forget that you also need to send out the perfect Holiday Party Invitation. I love the great Holiday Cards from Tiny Prints! I know that you will be able to find the perfect card or invitation for your event from their hundreds of cards.
Need a great appetizer that is easy but will make your guests go “ooooh, this is fantastic!!”? If so, check out the recipe that I posted on my blog today for an easy baked brie.
Need to jazz up your kitchen? Check out some of the fantastic cookware, bakeware, and tableware from Emile Henry. Their wares are simultaneously classic and modern, and I could really do some damage to my account on their website!
Hostess Gifts — You can’t be a gracious party guest without bringing the perfect hostess gift! You don’t have to spend a fortune, but something small is always a nice token of your appreciation. I really like this Half Apron by Jessie Steele in a Paris Print – I think it is a really sweet and adorably retro gift that any hostess would LOVE! If you are close friends with the hostess and you know she has a sense of humor, I think she would enjoy this reprint of the classic book Entertaining is Fun!: How to Be A Popular Hostess
. Orignially published in 1941, some of the advice is outdated, but it is still a really fun read. Not all of the advice is outdated however, because class never goes out of style! Want to go with something smaller? Try giving her a set of these awesome Effervescent Holiday Bath Balls
– she can soak in the tub and relax after the stress of planning and hosting a Holiday Party! Lastly, you might opt to give your hostess something that tastes as yummy as it smells! If so, then you definitely want to order a keepsake tin of these amazing handmade bon-bons from South n France — but good luck getting them to the party without eating them! (If you missed it, you can check out my review of South n France, but I’ll warn you, it might make you drool!)
Win it! South n France has graciously offered to give away a 20 piece tin of handmade bon bons to one lucky Chic Shopper Chick reader! To enter, follow the easy-peasy rules below. (And trust me, you WANT to win this delectible treat!)
- Visit South n France and tell me which Holiday Gift or flavor of bon bon is your favorite! Leave a comment here telling me about it!
- Earn extra credit! You may do these for extra entries.
- Blog about this giveaway and link back here and to South n France. Tell me about it in a separate comment.

- Get a Gravatar! I’m sick of seeing those little blue and white icons. Gravatars are universal avatars used for lots of sites, including this one – just register it with your email address. Let me know about it.

We could all use a little Pixie Dust!
As a little girl I used to love watching Peter Pan — and of course, the “little green fairy” Tinkerbell was my ultimate favorite! I’m thrilled that now Little AG will be enchanted by the same characters as I was as a child, and this first film in a series of new releases that feature the Disney Fairies does just that!
Fulfilling the dreams of every little girl (and even a few moms!) who has ever wanted her own pair of fairy wings, Tinkerbell flies onto DVD and Blu-Ray disc and into your living rooms starting this Tuesday, October 28th. Every fairy is born with a very special talent, and this movie is about Tinkerbell feeling like her ability to make things “tinker” isn’t as special as the talents that the other fairies have. However, with the help of some of her other fantastic friends in Pixie Hollow, Tinkerbell finally begins to realize that the best gift of all is simply the ability to be herself! Little AG was completely captivated (and completely still!) when this movie started, and I had to tear her away for bathtime.
Ok, my personal favorite part about this movie may be something that you haven’t even considered — we hear Tinkerbell speak. I’m not sure if you realize it, but Tinkerbell has never offically uttered a word, so this was a real treat. An all-star cast has lended their voices to this full-length film, with Mae Whitman as Tinkerbell and with America Ferrara, Raven-Symone’, Kristin Chenowith, and Lucy Liu rounding out the cast as the other fairies! Grab the kiddos and come check out the sneak previews below and then try telling me that, even as an adult, you aren’t pretty excited about seeing this one.
The DVD and Blu-Ray Disc will both be released this Tuesday, so be sure to go pick up your copy to start your new Disney Fairy Movie Collection. The suggested retail for the DVD is $29.99 and for the Blu-Ray Disc is $34.99 and you can find your your copy of TinkerBell on Amazon.
