What’s For Dinner? Reservations! (Giveaway CLOSED)
I was chatting on Skype with some of my friends the other day and, one by one, they started leaving our chat to go do this thing they called “making dinner.” I scoffed at such a silly concept — cooking is something to be done on special occasions – you know, like Holidays and um, let’s see…oh yes…when I want to fool guests into thinking I’m a domestic goddess. In all seriousness, I was somehow deprived of the womanly instinct that gives me the desire to cook, clean, nest, etc. To make up for it, I was given extra of the shopping instinct. So no, I can’t cook a Holiday Ham, but I certainly can help you pick out one rockin’ outfit for your office party.

For those of you who, like me, need a little assistance on the domestic front, I have just the thing to make your life (and role as a domestic goddess) a bit easier. Even if you don’t need any help, I think you’ll still love the Plan-A-Meal Bundle from Knock Knock. It comes with a Takeout Menu Organizer which is a hard cardboard binder with an elastic closure. It has a 50-sheet pad for taking orders (aptly titled “What Do You Want?”) from your family, a pen, a tipping guide, 9 tabbed dividers with menu storage pockets and adhesive tab labels for easy organization and a frequently called numbers list (because while I know the number to Chili’s and Outback by heart, I might need a reminder if we’re calling for Pizza.) I’m not sure where this awesome binder has been all my life or why my mother didn’t give it to me as a right of passage when I got married, but I’ll just say that I’m so glad I have one now.
The bundle also comes with a “What to Eat” pad, which has lots of room to plan out your dinners ahead of time (including boxes for “dine in”, “dine out”, and “takeout”) including breakfasts, lunches, and a “grab bag” section. It’s great for pre-planning that grocery list, or just sticking to a healthier eating plan, like I’ve been trying to do, when you know you have already planned out your meals for the week. Finally, the bundle also comes with an “All Out Of” pad, which is FANTASTIC because I’m always managing to forget one of my necessities when I go to the store. It has categories for almost anything I would ever have in my house at a given time, making it really easy to just check off what I’m out of when it happens. Plus, it’s magnetic so it’s just stuck to my fridge, and it’s always accessible (even if I do have to check it off with eyeliner).
You can buy all three of these things separately on the Knock Knock Website, but it’s cheaper to buy the bundle, and you’ll use them all, without a doubt. The bundle sells for $30.60.
