Two major fall trends are the one-shoulder look and ruffles – so why not combine them with this adorable ruffled, one-shoulder top from Old Navy. It comes in solids and prints (though purple is a very hot color!) and is on sale for $6 – down from $17.50.

It may be hot as all heck here in Louisiana, but I know that nicer weather is just around the corner.  When it arrives, I’ll be prepared, because one of my favorite things to shop for is coats.  I’m liking this Drop Waist Trench Coat from Nordstrom, it has a slightly gathered waist to create some volume at the bottom, but still has nice clean lines.  It is 60% off – down to $62.90 from $158.  Squee!

$75 off of $100 at Old Navy {Giveaway CLOSED}

It is no secret that I love to shop (see name of site, above).  I’ve gushed multiple times about my love of Old Navy for great deals, and stylish options for a fashionista on a budget.  I have an Old Navy within a mile of my house, and it has always been one of my favorite places to go for wardrobe staples and a quick wardrobe fix.  I’m a huge fan of their sweetheart jean (and we all know about my love for denim) and sundresses.

Old Navy reached out to me this week with an offer I couldn’t refuse.  They want to offer 10 of my fabulous readers the chance to win a coupon for $75 off of $100 purchase.  Um, that’s $100 worth of clothing for only $25!!!  (I know you can probably do the math, but I’m just SO excited – and a wee bit jealous that I can’t win myself!)

Old Navy already has fantastic deals, so this will really help you to stretch your budget a long way and help you to get a huge jump on that back-to-school shopping!  Don’t forget, I have TEN of them to give away!  Speaking of fantastic deals here is a sneak peek at the Item of the Week — a Long Sleeve Blousy V-Neck tee for just $8!!!

blogs_week23To win, leave a comment in the post below telling me what item from Old Navy you would pair this awesome v-neck tee with!!  (Or, if you’re a dude, just click over and tell me whatcha like, mkay?)  Bonus entries available for blogging about this contest with a link back here, stumbling my site, subscribing to my feed, or tweeting about this!  US entries only, contest ends August 2nd, 2009 at 11:59 pm CST.  Good Luck!

Old Navy Celebrates Summer With $1 Flip Flops!

May 21, 2009 by

You read that right, flip and flop your way into summer with $1 flip flops on Saturday, May 23rd ONLY at Old Navy.  If you read my site often, you already know I love Old Navy, and I love shoes, so this is even better.  Heck, at 50 cents a shoe I can afford to buy them in every color (but it seems you’re limited to 5 pairs)!  Plus, I have this theory that flip flops shouldn’t count as “actual” pairs of shoes.  Like, when someone looks in your closet and goes “whoa, thats a lot of shoes!” – flip flops shouldn’t count towards that tally.  Ok, maybe 3 pairs of flip flops equal one pair of regular shoes.  But, I digress.

Living in Louisiana I pretty much have the seasonal weather to wear flip flops unless it’s snowing – and that only happens once every 5 years or so (snow, that is) so I know exactly where I’ll be on Saturday to stock up on Flip Flops.  Check it out at Old Navy!

Chic Style On A Shoestring Budget With Old Navy

When I was packing for Disney World, I realized that all of my summer clothes, mainly my shorts, didn’t fit.  They were all 2 sizes too big.  Granted, I’m not one to complain about losing weight, but I did realize that if I didn’t wanna look like a bum that I was going to have to look for some new clothes that were great for summer but fit my budget.  (Or, lack of a budget.)  I ran in Old Navy with about 10 minutes of time to spare, and hit the summer jackpot!  Check out some of my fab finds!

I love this simple cross-front jersey dress – great by itself, or with a cardigan to dress it up.  I bought it in this color (my signature pink!) and I’m planning to wear it with a white or light pink tank top underneath it and some simple flip flops.  Then I can dress it up with a fun necklace or some chunky bracelets.  Oh, and PS?  It’s only $14.99!

I also fell in love with this sweet little lined sundress with the diagonal stripes – I love the cut and the pattern is adorable.  At 5’8″ I have longer legs, so it’s a tad shorter than my comfort level, but I think I can learn to get over it.  Or, I’ll pull an old trick from my days in Catholic School — wear a pair of shorts underneath.  I know it’s a major fashion no-no, but if you won’t tell, I won’t either. I’ll confess to one of my major fashion pitfalls – I bought this dress in a pattern and a solid (purple).  I loved the cut that much. This dress runs from $15-$20, depending on color.

The last sweet little find that I scooped up were these floral cut-out babydoll tanks.  They are lightweight, cool, and trendy.  I may or may not have grabbed this in two colors too, and um, one of them MIGHT be pink.  Jeez, I’m bad.  Please, someone stop me!  Oh yeah, each of these are $14.99, on sale from $19.99.  Sa-weet!

I have to say, I’m really impressed with Old Navy’s merchandise right now.  Apparently I’m not the only one — the entire shopping mall was practically deserted, except for Old Navy, where women were literally lunging for the last dress in their size.  (That may or may not also be something I’m guilty of.  Ahem.)  If you haven’t been by there lately, check it out.  Happy Shopping!
