Considering that I have a slight (ok major) obsession with Disney – you can safely assume that while my addiction is mostly cured – the Disney Store is the one place that I can get a little, well, out of control.

Currently they are having a swimwear sale on everything from bathing suits, to sunglasses, to flip flops.

I have a basket with several swimsuits, personalized towels, 3 pairs of sunglasses (what?! They are $2.50 EACH!) and one Spiderman costume all ready to go – what can I say – I’m a sucker!

Another trend we will see in a huge way next season is the return of the ladylike skirt. This one by Gap is executed perfectly, complete with 70s-inspired pleating and a go-to hue that’s just right for Spring.

Maxi skirts are all. the. rage. for Spring. If you can pull of this old-school style, this skirt is worth getting. The simple, neutral color of this skirt from Anthro will work back to Spring tops in both patterns and bold colors.

It’s beginning.  Neiman Marcus is hosting their First Day sale where shoppers can save up to 40% – and the list of participating designers and items available is jaw-dropping.  Rock and Republic, Oscar de la Renta Sleepwear, Nanette Lepore, Marc Jacobs, YSL — all screaming “shoppers, start your engines!”.  This isn’t a long-running sale, however — it started today (November 11th) and ends tomorrow at 6 AM (November 12th!).  If you aren’t close to a Neiman Marcus you can still shop online (use SHOPNM for free shipping!).

My friend Lindsay JUST emailed me today with news of this sale, because she and I are both obsessed with Hayden-Harnett.  Honestly, when I saw her email, I felt completely confused and out of it — how could there be THIS big of a sale and I didn’t know about it?  Have I been under a rock?  Am I losing my touch?  Oh. Wait.  Yeah, kinda.  I was at SxSW, and seeing as how I’m a horrible multi-tasker, I completely forgot about the rest of the world.
