You already know I heart Tory Burch, but even better – you know I’ll let you know whenever I spy a Tory Burch Sale … and today, my loves, there is indeed a sale – up to 50% off!

Gentlemen, pay attention – Christmas is coming up and these would make great holiday gifts for your girlfriend or wife!  If you’re wondering, here are some of the awesome finds you can snatch up at this rare Tory Burch sale (which is also going on at Tory Burch boutiques, not just online!):

By the way, that Rene cape and and those strappy heels are to die for.  The purple brush roll has me drooling too.  Of course, you have your ever-present Tory Burch flats, which wouldn’t be a bad stocking stuffer either. :)   So what are you waiting for – go, shop, enjoy!

Fashionable Flats For Fall

The holiday party season is creeping up on us and that means lots of parties, lots of dresses, lots of heels. In preparation for those long nights and way-more-than-an-hour cocktail hours, I plan to give my tootsies a little rest. Cute, comfy flats are just what I’m looking for. I’m over the plain old ballet flat that I’ve been wearing the past few Fall seasons and am looking for fun, funky and full of attitude. These are what I found….

These wingtip flats are the perfect way to take the “frou frou” out of a fun dress. It keeps it hip and edgy. Kimchi Blue $34

A pair of quiet, blends in Toms are a must for me this Fall (last year I went with a fun camo pair from Neiman Marcus and for being camo, they sure don’t blend). They are uber-comfy and a great transtitional shoe as the weather cools. Toms $44

The suede ballet flat with the ankle strap works well with cropped skinny black pants (cropped allows you to show off the cute little straps!) or with a striaght jean rolled at the ankle. Gabrielle Rocha $59.50

Snakeskin Lanvin flats are  totally out of my budget more like a dream shoe….they would go with everything, though! Jeans, black skinny pants, skirts and dresses all work with this simple shape and always in style skin. Lanvin $460

Oxfords are all the rage right now, and these laceless ones are effortlessly cool. They’re comfortable and work appropriate, yet they can hold their own on the casual front. Steve Madden $69.95

Clogs are super cute right now, but the height can get to be too much-this lower version will allow you to wear them all day long, with jeans, trousers or a great A-line skirt. Tory Burch $275

Tory Burch Spring 2011: Runway Rundown

Unless  you’ve been living under a Fashion Week rock, you are totally aware that the 70’s are back. In a major way. Nowhere else was it so apparent (or as playful and fun!) as at Tory Burch. True to her boho/retro M.O., the Spring collection was full of bold colors, longer hemlines, flared pants and bold stripes. The color palette also remained familiar with rich yellow, navy, and Burch’s signature orange.

Standout looks were: a striped suit comprised of a long blazer and skinny, cropped pants; the combination of a Baja hoodie and gold flared trousers; and a delicate tea-length silk dress with coral beading at the neckline that hearkened back to Burch designs of season’s past. The 70’s vibe was present all the way down to the accessories. Models wore ankle strap platforms, clogs and espadrilles, while carrying accessories in bold colors as well as some throwback styles in wicker.

Burch took a new approach with her presentation this year. She first showcased a runway show with an limited group of press and then the models lined up for a stationary presentation that allowed press and buyers to get up close and personal with the product. Whether traipsing down the catwalk or standing still, these looks were totally Tory and totally chic.

What a great way to celebrate a Friday and a long weekend!

Tory Burch is having a sale and well, I’m so excited that I almost feel like Tory herself has personally invited me to  rifle through her closet and pick out a few things that I like.  You already know I’m crazy about Tory.  I’ve been to her show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, and I wish Audrey’s feet didn’t grow so quickly or I’d have already bought a pair of the kid’s Revas for her!

This is a good sale, y’all.  We’re talking 50% off here.  50% off of my coveted (and no I still don’t have a pair dear readers) Tory Burch Reva.  Everything is on sale.  You can snatch up some gorgeous tunics (which she is oh-so-famous for!), some adorable accessories, and even a skirt or a dress (or two or three!).

Here are a few of my favorite items from the sale:

So what are you waiting for!  Run as fast as your computer will let you to the sale – who knows how much longer you have!  Oh, and if you don’t mind – grab me a pair of the Reva’s while you’re there?  I’m a 9.5.  ;)

Fashion For Haiti

Hello fashion darlings.  I’m sorry I’ve been MIA but I’m so thankful that you’ve had our resident stylist Jennifer to keep you company.  Isn’t she doing an amazing job??? (Check out her article all about Spring Fashion!)  I have been on a whirlwind traveling tour lately, I’m not sure I’ve slept in my own bed but 1 night in the past 2.5 weeks.  Currently I’m in NYC covering Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for Lifetime – a fashionista’s haven!

More on my coverage of this week in a bit, as well as my amazing trip to Disney with the Hanes Comfort Crew – but for now I wanted to quickly share something that caught my eye yesterday – all about what designers and the fashion industry are doing to provide help to Haiti.  This video explains it all:

I love that the designers are all wearing their t-shirt in their own unique way in the video.  The cool part is that you can buy one of these very fashionable t-shirts AND do something great at the same time.  The t-shirt will be on sale at Zappos beginning February 16th for only $25, with $16 of every purchase donated to the Haiti Relief Fund!

Designers and celebs are also doing their part – Kenneth Cole has donated a Westside Holiday billboard promoting the shirt and Beyonce is the official face of the Fashion for Haiti initiative.  What will you do?

Wardrobe Staple: Reva Flats

Thankfully we live in a time where it’s ok to be practical when it comes to fashion.  While I’m a huge fan of stilettos, I do believe in comfort when you need it.  However, I do NOT believe in sacrificing style for comfort.  Thankfully, Tory Burch combines both style and comfort into one neat little package with the Reva.

Every modern, stylish woman should own a pair of Revas.  It’s not up for negotiation.  It is an investment piece, yes, but one you will practically wear the soles off of.  Go as spunky (pink jellies) or as traditional (black suede) as you’d like, but definitely add them to your collection.  My personal favorite?  The silver snake print Reva ballerina flat.

Oh, and she makes a version of the Reva for little girls, too.  Be still my heart.

Project Runway Party Video Recap!

My head is still spinning from covering Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and basically feeling like I had a full-time, real person’s job for roughly a week.  Don’t get me wrong, I loved every.single.second.  I am already making plans to return in February, to attend the final week in the tents at Bryant Park.  Not only did I have an amazing week at the tents, but I was fortunate to wrap up my week by covering the Project Runway Reception and Screening for Lifetime Moms.  I made the awesome video below for you, so you can feel like you were right there with me.

We were able to attend a reception at the Hearst Tower (where I totally had a “Confessions of a Shopaholic” moment when I was going up the escalator!) for Project Runway’s current season, after which we all piled into a lush executive theater to watch the 5th episode of this season!  You’ll find three of my favorite pictures below, but you can see all of my photos from the Project Runway Party in my Flickr stream.

Malvin Vien, Erika Lehmann, and Louise Black

Malvin Vien, Erika Lehmann, and Louise Black

These two were really, really nice!  I was originally standing to the left of both of them, and they insisted that I jump in the middle.   If you watched last week’s Project Runway, you saw Louise puncture her finger with the sewing machine — I asked her how she was doing, and she showed me that her fingers healed nicely.  She did share with me that she was so upset at the camera men when that happened, because there was one guy on each side of her, and both of them kept filming, neither of them made a move to help out.  Ahhh, the woes of reality TV.

Erika Lehmann and Irina Shabayeva

Irina was the winner of the challenge in the Episode that we watched (where they used newspaper and she made that awesome coat with it!) and I had a great time chatting with her afterwards.  She was really nice — you can see her waving to me and my ubiquitous Flip Cam at the end of the video.

Althea Harper and Erika Lehmann

Then, of course, there was Althea Harper, whom I absoultely adored.  I talked to her mom for quite a while when Althea was on the red carpet being interviewed, and she and Althea both invited me to Althea’s Fashion Show the next night.  Unfortunately I coudln’t make it, but they were both so, so sweet – and I was really impressed with Althea in general.  We chatted about Tory Burch (I had just attended her show/presentation the day before), how it is to work for/with her, and about the fact that she designed what she was wearing.  She was so down to earth, it was like talking to an old friend!

I was so impressed with the entire cast of Project Runway Season 6 – they were all cheering each other on, supporting each other, applauding and squealing when Heidi told each of them that they were “safe”.  Watching that episode with them spoiled me, really, and just made me want to have a Project Runway party with all of them each week so that I could continue to feel the camradarie.

Think my mom will clap with me this week everytime we discover someone is “safe”?  It’s worth a try.
