New Year, New Life.
Literally. My new year started off with a bang – my wonderful boyfriend of over a year got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Of course I said, through tears, a resounding yes, so I’m excited to announce that I’m engaged (and my wonderful boyfriend is now my wonderful fiance!)! There are so many great things ahead of me including the opportunity to expand my family from 2 to 4 (as I’ll be gaining an adorable stepson!!), lots of new and exciting work endeavors, and a somewhere down the road, a wedding! Phew! That’s a lot to even CONSIDER!
It also means I need to lay off of the cool mint Oreos.
This year I plan to get healthy – and not just physically, though that is probably the largest part of my goal. I am fairly comfortable with my weight, though I would like to lose 15 pounds. I would also like to learn to cook (because I’m AWFUL at it!) – specifically learn to cook more low-carb meals that are diabetic-friendly. I’m hypoglycemic and my fiance is diabetic, so we need to get into a pattern of healthy eating so that we can have a long, fulfilling life together.
Using my existing Walmart login, I started using their free health and fitness tools to help me to keep track of my goals.
Sorry interwebs. As much as I love you I’m not as bold as my fellow Walmart Mom Lori – I am NOT telling you how much I weigh! However, until I hit 30 I’m clearly willing to share my age. Once I hit 30, let’s just say I plan on stayin 30 for a long time. Like, forever.
But I digress.
So, using the Healthy Living Tools I’m able to keep track of my weight, cool mint Oreos food intake, and calorie consumption, and I need the sort of accountability that this offers. Feel free to hold me accountable as well, and to join me on my journey to having a more healthy 2011!
What are your goals for 2011? Share them in the comments!
