This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. For questions about this blog, please contact Erika Lehmann (erika at chicshopperchick dot com).
This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation.
This blog abides by word of mouth marketing standards. We believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. In other words, I’ll let you know if a product I received is free. I’ll let you know if I was paid. What I will not do is agree to tell you something is wonderful if it’s not. I don’t care how much they want to pay me or how many free something or anothers they want to give me. That’s not fair to you, it’s not the kind of person I want to be, and holding your trust is why I’m able to create the content that I do.
However, my lawyers say that I have to tell you that the compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. In other words, I’m not going to recommend something that I don’t like – but it is possible that something may have not been on my radar before and someone comes along and says “hey, check out this cool thing that we have” and wham! – there is an article that I write about it because I liked it. LIKING IT IS THE KEY. If a product is horrible, it’s not making it onto the pages of Chic Shopper Chick. Either way, that content, advertising space or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content.
I am compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. Even though I receive compensation for some posts or advertisements, I always give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely the my own. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question. In other words, I am not a scientist. If I think a face cream makes me look younger, that is my opinion, not FACT. Please take it as such.
Whew. That’s a whole lotta words to say this: sometimes I get paid for stuff. This here site is part of how I make a living. However, I need you to trust me in order to continue to have a loyal audience, so that people will even think that I’m worthy of advertising with/asking my opinion, etc. I’m not going to steer you wrong, not intentionally. That would be biting the hand that feeds me and also it would make me a kinda icky person. That’s not how I roll.
