Playskool’s Cherry Blossom Market – A Giveaway!

December 3, 2008 by

Ok, I’ve already ranted and raved over my extreme love for it in my Christmas Gift Guide for kids, but it’s worth another mention here:  one of my favorite picks for Christmas this year is, beyond a doubt, the Cherry Blossom Market. We have one of these at my house (I just couldn’t wait until Christmas to give it to Little AG – it looked like so much fun!) and it has been a fun activity for us daily since we broke open the box.  Speaking of opening the box, it was very easy to put together, though I did take the time to read the instructions for once (rather out of character for me!) but it was in one piece in a flash (when I saw the small box I was slightly worried).  The fabric that it is made out of seems easy enough to wipe clean, and at the most, needs a sponge with some warm, soapy water on it.

And really, what little girl doesn’t dream of owning her own little store!  Now they can with the Cherry Blossom Market from Playskool — perfect for those of us who want to give our little ones a playhouse of their own, but with limited space.  A smaller addition to the Dream Town collection (we also love the Rose Petal Cottage, but it’s twice the size, therefore it would take up twice the amount of room in my house!) this sweet and playful market will not disappoint!  I love the beautiful fabric walls of the Playskool Cherry Blossom Market — one side is adorned with flowers and the other functions as the inside of the market itself.  Little AG especially loves “serving” mommy outside of the walk-up window or helping me to pick out some fresh produce at the Cherry Blossom Market Produce Stand.  When we’re finished, we sit down and enjoy some special Scoop ‘N Smile Ice Cream!  Oh, and did I mention it comes with a cash register and even some play money?  We love it!

I am confident that your little grocers will love this toy as much as we do, and they would love to find this from Santa Claus come Christmas morning!  It’s on sale at Amazon right now (link above) for only $35.99 (and free shipping!) which I feel like is one of the best deals that you can possibly get this Holiday Season!

Even better, would you like to win a Cherry Blossom Market to give as a gift?  Follow the easy-peasy rules below and you could be playing “shop” on Christmas morning!

  • Leave a comment here telling me why you’d like to win.  A little effort please, no “Enter me” or “I wanna win” type of entries will be accepted.
  • Earn extra credit! You may do these for extra entries.
    • Blog about this giveaway and link back here. Tell me about it in a separate comment.
    • Visit my friends Kristin at An Ordinary Life and Christine at From Dates to Diapers and leave them each a comment.  Come back here and leave two comments to let me know you did so.

    • Add me to your blog roll. Not just my button in your sidebar, I’d love to be on your blog roll! Let me know about it in a separate comment!

That’s it! Good luck! Oh, and the official rules and legal jargon are below.

US entries only, winner will be chosen via random.org at the end of the contest. Winners are posted here and on Prizey Fetch, please leave a valid email address or blog address if you’d like to be contacted should you win. Winner has 72 hours to claim their prize. 1. I think this would be a sweet gift for my 17 month old daughter who is already imaginative and creative. She sometimes pretends I’m a door and knocks on me! Haha.

  2. Naomi says:

I think that Roo and Jasper would actually play TOGETHER with this set. It’s a little less overtly girly than the Rose Petal Cottage and I would love to see the kids play ice cream shop. By themselves. For hours.

This is just tooo cute – I’d love to give it as a gift to my niece! :)

I’d like to win as my son would love this – he always asks me to play shop with him. When I ask to buy something – he always says, no, that’s not for sale. He’d enjoy it and put it to good use, and he has many friends who would get enjoyment from it also, thanks very much.

I would love to give this to my nieces (and nephew) for Christmas. My sister has a daughter that is 4 (who thinks she’s mother hen, lol) and a set of triplets that just turned 2 2 weeks ago (2 girls and 1 boy……that poor boy, lol)…Anyways it seems like I am always buying the same thing in sets of 3 so no-one feels left out (except now the 4yo feels that way) and I would love to give them something that they could all share :) Thanks!!!

  9. I would love to win this for my niece so that when she comes to my house full of boys she can have a special place just for her.

  30. Kimberly says:

As much as I’d love to win this for my kids I’d really love to give it to my little neighbor who I babysit from time to time. She’s such a cute little girl and she LOVES to role play. She would go crazy for something like this! I can actually picture her with her “babies”, taking them shopping and pushing her little cart (if I won I would certainly buy her a shopping cart too!).

    TOO CUTE!!!!

  38. Jingle says:

Okay, so here’s the deal. Last year I got an incredible deal on a Children’s Place leapord Print backpack that I gave to my little cousin (then 2, now 3) for Christmas. It was her FAVORITE gift! She had that thing on her back the moment she got the paper off of it and wore it all day! I even had reports from Mom telling me how much she loved it! That being the case, I’m feeling a little pressure this year! LOL! I want to give her a gift that will get her that excited again, but, again, I can’t spend a fortune on it. Winning this set would be PERFECT! She would SO love this and I would get to see that beautiful smile again, which would make for a wonderful Christmas!

wow, this is something that i think my girls would have a ton of fun with! it is absolutely darling!

  43. Marcia says:

My 3 year old granddaughter is lucky enough to have room for this really great playset. I too looked at the Rose Petal Cottage but this seems even nicer and I would love her to have it.

  44. Beth G. says:

I used to “play shop” all the time growing up. Even though I’m not a little kid anymore doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy playing pretend with my kids. This shop looks a lot more fun than the one my sister and I used to put together. Thanks for the entry my daughter would love this for Christmas.

  53. Stopping by from dates to diapers. Love this store playhouse. My girls are 10 and 12 and would have loved it. My son is 5 and would say…yuck it’s girly. I would donate it to a mom and baby shelter in Frederick, MD…Heartly House? My daughter’s Girl Scout troop did care packages for the children each year…the mom’s were fleeing abusive husbands. I would imagine the house has a play area or common room. Those kids need something to take their minds off their shattered home lives.

I’d love to win this for my daughters cause they’d have an absolute blast playing with it. They’ve never had anything like this, but they love to play with the plastic one at the park. Too cold to play at the park now though. Brrr. This would be so cute in their bedroom, and I can guarantee they’d get a lot of use out of it.

As a mother of two girls I would love to win this one. I own an online store and my girls love playing store play and this would make a perfect gift for them this holiday season. They always want to help me with my store and this would be great – they can have their own store while still feel like they are part of the “family biz”. Imaginative play & bonding at it’s best.

  67. This is SO cute! We went a little nuts last year and bought the girls all of the Rose Petal Cottage stuff. Not sure we have room for this, but I’ll make room if I win because I know they would LOVE it.

oh! i’d love to win this adorable market for my little 3 year old for many reasons, not least of which is that my town of macon, ga holds a cherry blossom festival every year. what a cute tie in!? we have a big, empty playroom that single mama cannot possibly fill on her own. it would make my little Peep’s Christmas!

  71. This market is adorable! My 4yo daughter could play with this for hours. (We already play pretend restaurant, store and doctor’s office.) The cool part? I live on Cherry Blossom Lane… how cute it that?

I would love this for my daughter, and I know she would love it, too. We have a few toys for her, but try to make things, as funds are limited since I stay home full-time. I know she’d love to have a ‘real’ toy. Thanks for the giveaway!

  90. I would love this for my daughter, who is 16 months old and already engaging in imaginary play — especially the things she sees me do. As soon as she could walk, she was slipping things that looked like purses on her arm … gift bags, grocery bags, her blocks that come in a little plastic bag … you get the drill. This is something she could do with her older sister who is 10 — and I think they’d both enjoy it.

I keep telling myself that at two my little one isn’t going to miss Christmas (like everywhere, things are tight – we help out other family and have bills like most people) so its not as much that as the fact that I loved playing pretend when I was little, I want to nurture imagination in him. Too many toys nowadays seem to take that away.
