Nude, Natural, Gorgeous Nails with Nail Medic

1 Comment 31 March 2015

After all of the buzz that has come with almond-shaped nails, nail art, and crazy-fun nail colors, the next trend in nails is officially here.  Found in abundance all over the Spring 2015 Runways were…

…nude nails.

Yes! Nude nails!  As much as I like nail art, I’m really excited about this return to a more natural, classic looking nail.  Backstage at Fashion Week this year at shows like Oscar de la Renta, manicurists were busy matching nail colors to each model’s skin tone.  This is fabulous news for those of us who don’t always have time to make it to a salon – this simple to-do, clean and classic manicure, is a cinch to do at home.

To help in my quest to find the perfect nude manicure, a company called NailMedic, by Pretty Woman, sent me 3 of their newest products to try.  Their entire line was started with a very simple goal in mind–to bring back a natural nail look.

I was excited to try out the 3 products that the folks at Nail Medic sent me for their 3-phase anti-aging system.  I was sent:

Phase One:  Nail Detox: Nail Cleanser and Primer ($7.99 at Walmart)

This is for cleansing nails and cuticles.  It reminds me of the product that manicurists apply to your nails prior to polishing and before the basecoat.
Phase Two:  Hydrator ($7.99 at Walmart)

The hydrator was pretty cool – designed to repair and fortify, it comes in a little tube that you click the bottom of to push more product to the tip. I used the soft tip to brush the product over my cuticles and gently push them back.
Phase Three:  Growth Factor:  Nail Growth Optimizer ($7.99 at Walmart)

Phase 3 primes and protects your nails.  The directions say to apply one or two coats – I applied two right before my polish.

All three of these products are available at Walmart stores nationwide, and will be available on Walmart.com for shipping very soon as well.

What I thought was really neat about these products is that they are all meant to be used before your manicure.  I was a little confused at first – 3 products to apply before beginning my mani?  Thankfully, the packaging made the directions very clear and easy to follow, and the application of the final product also served as a basecoat before my Essie manicure.

My favorite part about this 3-phase system is that it is totally customizable.  It’s not just these 3 products that are available, but there are a total of 15 different products in the range – all costing just $7.99.  Phase 1 has 4 different products, Phase 2 has 5 products to choose from, and Phase 3 also has 5 products to choose from.  You also have the option to buy Phase 1, 2, and 3 together!

For more information, you can check out the Pretty Woman website, or head in to your nearest Walmart store.
