I like pink roses. My granddaughter, Autumn Rose, likes lavender roses. So much so, that she plans to name her next baby (we fancy a girl as she already has a boy, Aiden, 5) Lavender Rose. A few years ago I arranged a Valentine’s Day weekend at a local Bed and Breakfast. Our room included a heart shaped tub even! Being the fugal gal I am, I asked for a good deal on the room, and the owner agreed since I called like 2 days before and they had an opening which he didn’t think would fill. Sadly, my husband got really sick that weekend, and my plans to attend the theater and a nice restaurant, before going to the B&B, were dashed. So, instead I ordered us KFC and we watched The Notebook in our room while we soaked in the tub together.

Wowza! As much as I wish I could have them, I would feel guilty ordering them for myself, so I’d order them for my friend Jan. This will be only the second Valentine’s Day without her husband (she’s only 38!). I would like her to know I’m thinking of her on this day.

I took ill a while back, and have had to go through some pesky chemo. No worries though. I’m through it, and am preparing for the next step. God is so good to me! I have an amazing support system made up of family and friends, that truly humbles me. My wonderful beau actually has taken a sabatical from work in order to assure all my needs are met! I have been so mean to him on occasions that I was having a hard day. Some days I even felt robbed of my dignity, and just wanted a big ole’ pity party! Through all this, he has endured, and shown me nothing but compassion. For him, I would choose the multi colored. They would represent all of who he is. The yellow, for friendship, because first and foremost, he is my best friend. The white would represent the purity of his heart in his intentions to take care of me! I will leave the love part to your imagination. Suffice it to say, he is a remarkable guy, and a gift from my awesome Father-God! Too, I could enjoy them! I have the perfect spot! Thanks!

Happy Valentines Day! I would selfishly send these to me! My DH of 29 years always got me yellow roses, which I love. He was a long haul trucker and the year we were celebrating our 14th he showed up with 14 dozen yellow roses! As I cringed at the cost he quickly assured me that he met ” a guy in a truck in Bayonne NJ…selling them for $5 a dozen”! LOL I didn’t ask any more questions! But he had a stroke and now lives in assisted care. He no longer remembers holidays. These roses would be a wonderful boost for me. Thanks for the memory!

I have never had roses for my anniversary. But it is my own fault. The Valentine’s Day before we got married, my hubby ordered a dozen long stem red roses. I thanked him but told him it was too much. His plan was to replace one red rose with a white rose on the 14th of every month until he presented me with a dozen white roses on our wedding day.

One Valentine’s day while was working I received a bouquet of flowers about every other hour, each bigger than the last, one of which was delivered in person by my hubby. Then, my hubby says, “So let’s skip gifts this year, just do dinner, and try to go somewhere this summer.” I could not even get words out of my mouth. I have already bought him several gifts. This is a very sentimental giveaway for me. I love flowers and so does my twin sister. My precious Mom who passed away (Feb 25th 20007) almost 2 years ago, LOVED roses! Of course we would NEVER buy them for ourselves, because we are always on a TIGHT budget and trying to make ends meet. My Twin and I cared for my mom for 7 years before she went to Heaven, so the flowers I would choose would be the Duet Rose Bouquet for my Twin Helen, because WE are a Duet, we are a Team, and I could not live without her. I moved to GA from NY and 6 months later she moved here too (from NY) She told her Hubby that you cannot separate twins or they will die.(Lucky for us, he believed it! haha) That was 11 years ago. We live 2 miles from each other, our children are best friends, and I adore my Twin.

She melts my heart when she walks in the room and more incredible than that, she loves me unconditionally despite all my short comings. I would choose my mother as my valentine to recieve these flowers. My mother is my valentine as she is very special to me. My mother and father were married for nearly 30 years when he passed away. She misses him alot and talks about him nearly daily you see they were the prince and princess of fairy tale making. As I myself have been married for 22 years I can imagine how close they were but do not have to imagine because you could see it with them everyday of thier life together. Ten years has passed since he left but she still pines for him. That is why my mother would be my valentine as I remember when she would give her mother flowers after my grandfather passed away as a way to show love and appreciation and I would love to repeat this for my mother. I have given her flowers before but nothing of this quality I truely think and know these flowers would put a large smile on my mothers face In that I would love to send her the blushin beauty bouquet.

Due to downsizing at his company, he’s been required to put in literally hundreds of extra hours since December. I know he is overwhelmed, beyond stressed and would love to move on, but the state of the economy and unemployment makes him realize he’s stuck at this job for the next bunch of months.
I want him and his boss to know how much his hard work means to our family, and that even though the boss rarely appreciates anything he does, I want him to know just how much I do. I think a giant bouquet of roses would maybe make his boss see, even just for a minute, that there is more to life than 18 hour days, 6 days a week.

I would give these to my daughter-in-law who I love with all of my heart. My son is overseas with the Army and as Valentine’s Day is their anniversary and they have a wonderful 3 month old son, I know that this would make her day and make it so less sadder.
Am I a freak for not really wanting flowers from my husband? I would so much rather he just pick up his clothes from the floor, LOL.

ok heres my vday story for another extra entry
this valentines day we are *hopefully* taking the twins to the inlaws and heading out for dinner/movie and (if the weather is nice) a walk downtown(i love being downtown at night)we havnt done that in over 2 years since the twins were born- sad huh? anyways im really lookin forward to it V-Day this year- hopefully plans work out.
Our first Valentines day together my hubby came home to pick me up after work-he told me to wait in the car while he got changed- he took long but i didnt htink much of it. we went out for dinner, movie and came home- to my surprise there were rose petals trail ;)i though that was really sweet. he also bought me beautiful diamond/pearl necklace.=] Then the next 2 valentines day passed without much celebration:s hopefully this year will be different

These will go to my 82 year old friend who recently moved into assisted living, her birthday is on the 16th so it will be extra credit.
I would choose the Stardust Bouquet and send them here to my three young boys. They enjoy getting things and they like flowers too.

If I had the money, I’d order the red and yellows. If I won, I’d like to order the flowers for my girl.
I would pick the Spray Roses (10 Stems) for my best friend. She deserves them! She has three children, one is ADHD and one is Autistic. She recently had to move away to find an accommodating school for her autistic son and it has been extremely hard on her. Her husband is in the military and is due to be shipped overseas by June. Her life has been turned upside down and inside out and yet she always finds time for everyone except herself!

I’d give them to my husband, an extra surprise because I’ve never given him flowers and I definitely don’t have the money to do anything. I’d even try to pull off acting surprised when they were delivered. “Who is that? Honey, answer the door, please? Whoa, who got THOSE? They’re for YOU? WOW! Someone must really love you!” It’d be hard not to giggle, though. :) I’d love to see his face when he realized what was going on!

I would want the roses for my mother whom takes care of children. She and my step dad have five children, two are my moms, three are my stepdads then they have adopted two, gardianship two and foster two so there are 11 of us total. They have given up so much for us that this would be awesome to do something for her
