During our annual trip to the Walmart Shareholders meeting, a few of the Walmart Moms found that we were in for a big surprise. We showed up at the gorgeous Horton Farms (pictured above) only to discover a camera crew there – and a bunch of steak. Turns out we were part of a surprise “Steak Over”! Have you seen all of the Walmart Steak Over commercials yet? Well, we had the chance to have one ourselves! I even have my own video to share with you – check it out and then I’ll share my impression of the steak, and the event.

Pretty cool, right? Walmart has introduced its new premium choice steaks and wants everyone to know that they are top-notch – if you don’t believe them just try them yourself – if you aren’t satisfied you can BRING BACK YOUR RECEIPT AND GET YOUR MONEY BACK. Pretty impressive, right?

Wondering how you can tell the difference between a select & premium choice steak at Walmart? It’s simple – you can tell by the packaging – white trays represent select and the black trays are the premium choice cuts.

Of course, steak wasn’t the only thing that we ate at the Steakover – there were some really delicious Marketside Items available for us to sample, too.

The Bavarian Pretzel sticks were to die for – I tried to smuggle some home with me but got totally busted. The Pinwheels were great and would make for a perfect snack or easy appetizer, and the fruit tray was super fresh – and I could have eaten the Vanilla Bean Cream Cheese dip off of a spoon – it was that good.

Overall the Steakover was a great event – we had so much fun and I’m thankful to the entire Walmart crew for the amazing experience!
