Drew Barrymore Debuts FLOWER Exclusively at Walmart

1 Comment 19 April 2013

Joining a host of other celebrities, Drew Barrymore has released her own premium cosmetics line that will is offered exclusively at Walmart. The line is called FLOWER and is custom formulated with the same quality ingredients found in department store luxury brands, but sold for a fraction of the price.

FLOWER encompasses Drew’s favorite cosmetics that she has used throughout her career. The list of products in this line consists of more than 181 eye, face, lip and nail products ranging from $4.98 to $13.98. I was offered the chance to try the FLOWER line by the Walmart Moms, and being that I’m a makeup junkie I jumped at the chance.

I received a wide range of these FLOWER cosmetics to try out myself and I couldn’t help but be totally jazzed. The entire line that I tried – the mascara, the eyeshadow, the powder foundation, the lipstick, etc. were excellent and obviously high-quality like the line says it is. However two of the products were real standouts in my book – the tinted moisturizer and the cream blush.

First of all – I am currently using a department store brand tinted moisturizer and cream blush – I paid roughly $40 for the moisturizer and $26 for the cream blush. I can honestly say that the tinted moisturizer from FLOWER holds its own next to the department store brand that I use. I can’t actually choose a favorite between the two – in my opinion they work equally well, and both feel great on my skin. The difference is that the tinted moisturizer from FLOWER costs $10.98 – a steal when you compare it to the $40 I was spending previously.
As for the cream blush – it is actually my favorite when compared to the department store brand. I feel that the FLOWER cream blush goes on more smoothly and blends more evenly while I’ve been having trouble having my department store brand cream blush blend without looking splotchy – and it’s just not as smooth when applying it to my face. In this case, FLOWER costs only $7.98 vs the $26 for the cream blush and I have a clear winner – FLOWER.

I showed this line at the local walmart last month browsing the makeup aisle. I just randomly grabbed the concealer and took it home since the shade was just right for me. I’m pretty impressed, I usually use MAC, but I dip into drugstore brands as well. I would buy it again. I even tried a small sample of the BB cream, I may be tempted to this a try as well :)
