Did you know that April is Earth Month? I’m sure you’ve heard all of the buzz about things you can do to make our world a better place, but did you know that you can make small changes like bringing your own bags to the grocery store? I bring my own bags each time that I go, and I’m finding more and more that over half of the people in line have done the same thing. Don’t worry, bringing your own bags doesn’t mean you have to take an old feed sack and drag it with you to the store. Thankfully, being eco-friendly has also created a new term, one deemed necessesary by fashionistas around the world, and that it “eco-chic”.
Being “eco-chic” simply means that you don’t have to sacrifice style for the environment, or vise versa! I love these S.H.O.P. Totes from Calypso Studios because they are both functional and stylish. You get 3 totes in each storage bag, and they fold up nicely enough to just throw in your purse or your glove compartment and leave it there. They come in tons of fun themes and colors, though my personal favorite are these safari totes!

I loved Coastal Collage (reminded me of my daughter in college on the coast), but the Acts of Kindness bags are something my other daughter would use every waking moment – she uses “message” bags for school and as a purse.

I can’t get over how inexpensive they are!!! I love the fact that they come in sets of 3 for the most part too. I would choose “Act of Kindness.” I think it would be an easy way to send a 2nd message to people as I was using it. The first being, use a reusable bag, then the 2nd being be kind to … whichever saying was on the bag that day. I am also trying to get a lot better about using my own bags and this will help me store more in my car or my hubby’s car!
